Nowadays many people appeal to cosmetic contact lenses to change the color of their eyes, but the procedure is developing would be a permanent alternative. Brown eyes are more common than blue, with 80 percent of the population with the pigment darker.

Dr. Gregg Homer Stroma, a California doctor, has created the treatment, called Lumineyes”, which has been working for 10 years and filed for a patent in 2005.

People with brown eyes have a pigment called melanin in the front of the iris. People with blue eyes also have this brown melanin, but only in the back of the iris. It’s this lack of pigment that creates the blue color.

In the procedure, which only lasts about 20 seconds, a laser is used to eliminate the melanin of the upper layer of the iris. After a few weeks, the blue color emerges.

However, it’s still in testing phase, has had a limited use in human beings and more clinical trials are needed to ensure their safety. The specialist hopes this technology is available outside the United States in the next 18 months.

A website reveals whether an image is a mounting or has been digitally manipulated

Sitio revela si una foto es montaje o ha sido retocada
With a little bit of photoshop and a steady hand, it's possible to make magic. Digitalization creates unbelievable landscapes, removes imperfections, whatever imagination allows, sometimes in a rough way and other very subtle that seems real.
Do you want to know if a photo is natural or manipulated? The site Image Error Level Analyser has been designed to reveal it. Although is not a foolproof system, through an error level analyze it gives a more or less right idea if the image is a “fake”.
It works only with JPEG format images that are already uploaded to the web, because it works with URL’s. When you review your photo through the site, the image is saved in different resolution levels, increasingly lower compared to the original; if it has been manipulated, appears some aggregates and the differences become apparent through a different color.
